DELIVERY & SHIPPING INFO

 

We want you to love it. If you don’t, you can return it up to 30 days after delivery. Please note that you are responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you mistakenly or damaged. All returned items must have original tags and packaging (not opened); and must not have been installed, used, or modified. We stand by our products – if your order arrives damaged or defective, please do not hesitate to contact us as we will help you right away.

If the box arrives visibly damaged, please do not accept the delivery.

 

Set Up a Return

If you need to set up a return, please contact us via email at hello@merithome.co.uk or call us on 01639 8135593 for a return label or to arrange a collection – we will be more than happy to help you. You must either: return the goods in person to where you bought them; post them back to us at No. 43 Church Road, Baglan, Port Talbot, SA12 8SU; or, (if they are not suitable for posting), allow us to collect them from you.

If your item is damaged or defective, please contact us immediately and provide your reference number when returning goods.

 

What If My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our products are well-packaged to withstand damage during shipping. We double-box many items and refuse to carry products that are easily damaged during shipping.

Even if the package appears only slightly damaged, write “Package Damaged” when you sign for the delivery. This is VERY important. If the package looks significantly damaged, please refuse delivery of the package. The damaged package will be returned to us, and we will send you a new one immediately. Upon refusing the delivery, please notify us straight away so that we can expect the returned shipment.

If you have already accepted the package and find that the item is damaged, please contact us right away. Speed is of the essence in these situations as most carriers only let us file freight claims within 48 hours of the delivery. We will have the carrier pick up the package and we will send you a replacement. All products should be returned in the original packaging.

If a product arrives damaged, or if we have made an error, we will pay for the return of the item to replace it; we only cover payment for replacement of items like this that are either mistaken, or have been damaged during shipment and not delivered in original condition. If you decide that you would not like a replacement, then the item can be returned under our standard return policy.

If your item’s issues due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace the entire unit. If you are experiencing problems, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will make every effort to resolve it.

When Does Merit Pay The Costs Of Return?

We will pay the costs of return to replace your product:

  1. if the products arrived at your door damaged,
  2. if the product has a manufacturing/design defect,
  3. if you believe the product has not been accurately described/if we have sent you the wrong item.

In all other circumstances, you must pay the costs of return. If you change your mind about the product and would like to return the product, or if you refuse a replacement of the flawed item and would rather a refund, then the costs of return will be necessary as according to our standard returns policy.

 

Merit’s Charges for Collection

If you are responsible for the costs of return and have arranged for us to collect the items from you, we will deduct the cost necessitated for the collection of the returned item from your refund. We will contact you to notify you of the costs. You must ensure that the goods are kept safe and secure until they are collected for return.

 

How Merit Will Refund You

If you are entitled to a refund according to the returns policy, we will refund you the price you paid for the products through the method that you used for payment if valid, or by BACS.

Any damage to goods will be deducted from any refund given, in addition to the collection/return charge (if applicable) referred to above.

 

When Will I Receive My Refund?

We will send any refunds to you as soon as possible. Once the goods have been examined, and if a refund is applicable, we will refund the price of the goods along with any required deductions within 30 days of their return.
